Production Notes
Roger Drummond, associate professor of drama at University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, designed the set, built with students in Chickasha. The same set was used in USAO’s Nov. 17–21, 1993 production. Don Lusk recalled a working shower and a pool at the stage edge with a clear front, simulated raw hamburger patties made from painted rice cakes exchanged for precooked patties, and a backstage stun gun used to mimic a bug zapper. Rhonda Clark appeared onstage immediately after directing the season opener. Special thanks: Nick and Renee Preftakes; Gil and Janet Mitchell / Gil’s; Nicky Thomason; Dr. Ann Frankland (USAO); Phil Carlton; Doug Getzoff; Renee Taylor; Rhonn Evans; Craig Miller; Julie Brown; Douglas McCord; Lilli Bassett; William Brackeen / Sound Warehouse. Produced by arrangement with Dramatists Play Service. The play premiered at Manhattan Theatre Club May 28, 1991.
