Production Notes
Season 39 (2022–2023) had one confirmed in-person mainstage show. This July 7–29, 2023 production was the inaugural public mainstage production at CST’s new permanent home and Inasmuch Foundation Stage, 1009 W. Reno Avenue, a renovated 1946 automotive warehouse. The theatre hosted a public open house on June 24, 2023, 5–8 p.m.; the event included building tours, the new ticketing system, seating previews, and a gallery exhibition featuring Suzanne Wallace Mears. Renovation was delayed by pandemic-related construction and supply-chain issues and followed a devastating April 2021 offsite warehouse fire that destroyed stored theatre materials. The production was planned and rehearsed considerably earlier, but was postponed until the new venue was ready; reported cast turnover left only three performers from the original rehearsal ensemble. Performance times: July 7–8 and 14–15 at 8 p.m.; July 20 at 7:30 p.m.; July 21–22 at 8 p.m.; July 23 at 2 p.m.; July 27 at 7:30 p.m.; July 28–29 at 8 p.m. The production preceded Season 40, which opened September 2023. Institutional support from Oklahoma Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, Inasmuch Foundation, Kirkpatrick Family Fund, and Allied Arts.
