Visiting Mr. Green

Jeff Baron

Opening Date:

February 18, 2005

Closing Date:

March 12, 2005

When young corporate executive Ross Gardiner nearly hits an elderly pedestrian with his car, a judge sentences him to six months of community service visiting the cantankerous Mr. Green. The eighty-six-year-old widower wants nothing to do with his reluctant visitor, and Ross isn’t particularly eager to be there either. But as their awkward weekly encounters continue, the two men discover that beneath their differences lie painful secrets, unresolved family conflicts, and a shared longing for connection. Directed by Sara Phoenix and starring Charlie Dickerson and Lane Fields, Jeff Baron’s Visiting Mr. Green is a touching, often humorous exploration of friendship, prejudice, forgiveness, and the courage to open one’s heart.
